Booking Terms
Terms and Conditions of booking at Atlantic View Holiday Cottages
BOOKINGS
All offers and bookings are subject to availability. The person making the booking must be 18 years of age or over at time of booking. This person will be deemed the party leader and therefore responsible for the rest of the party, and for all other aspects of the booking, including payment and any shortfalls of any monies due either during the booking or after the event. 25% of the total cost of the holiday is payable as a deposit at the time of booking. We will not hold a cottage booking without a deposit. On receipt of deposit we will send you a confirmation showing your booking details and the balance of your holiday cost. When you receive your confirmation, you must check all details and inform us immediately if anything is incorrect. The balance is due six weeks before the start of your holiday. On receipt of this payment we will send you additional information and directions. For bookings made within six weeks of arrival the full cost of your holiday is due at the time of booking. No Stag or Hen parties will be accepted at any time.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Your cottage is available after 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated no later than 10am on the day of departure. Please advise us on your arrival time so that arrangements to meet you can be made. Outside the main season and for winter breaks, we may be able to arrange varying times with you.
NUMBER OF PERSONS USING THE PROPERTY
No more than the stated maximum occupancy level of any cottage may be exceeded at any time during the booking. A cot sleeping infant, under the age of 2 years on arrival, may be an additional person and will share their parent’ room. We reserve the right to refuse to hand over to you or repossess the property if the number is exceeded and will treat these circumstances as a cancellation by you.
OTHER PROPERTIES AT ATLANTIC VIEW
There are four properties at Atlantic View, and all are being enjoyed by other groups and families. As part of your booking, you agree not to do anything that may reasonably be considered to cause a nuisance or annoyance to the occupiers of adjoining properties. We reserve the right to repossess the property if this agreement is breached and will treat these circumstances as a cancellation by you.
ACCESSIBILITY
Please take reasonable steps to ensure that the property you book is suitable for your needs. Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the property access, facilities, layout, grounds and/or garden so that you can make a fully informed decision about a property’s suitability to your requirements, needs and taste prior to making a confirmed booking. Should you be in any doubt about the suitability of a property for any member of your party, please call us for clarification prior to making a booking.
DOGS
Sorry, no dogs at this time.
SMOKING
We ask that you do not smoke inside, or any area around the property. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all of the properties listed on Atlantic View’s website.
PARKING
Only park vehicles in the designated parking spaces provided, such vehicles to be parked at your own risk.
WIFI
WiFi service is provided with the expectation that speeds/data allowance may be limited and no compensation of data usage.
WiFi may not be available at all times and is provided for pleasure and not business purposes. Bookings cannot be accepted if they are reliant on the provision of uninterrupted and unlimited provision of WiFi.
When using the internet at the property, you agree to comply with all current legislation pertaining to and regarding the use of electronic data in using the internet provided by us. We cannot accept liability for loss or damage to your data or accept responsibility or liability for a guest’s inappropriate or illegal use of the internet.
CARE OF THE PROPERTY
You are responsible for the property both the cottage you rent and anything else on the premises during the Holiday Period and are expected to take reasonable care.
The cottage is thoroughly cleaned and inspected prior to the hirer‘s arrival and the hirer undertakes to leave the cottage, furniture and equipment clean and tidy at the end of the hire period.
Take care when using fake tan, sun cream, waterproof make–up, hair dye or similar substances in the property because they may mark or stain linen, towels or other furnishings. If you plan to use such products at the property, we recommend that you bring your own spare bedding and towels. If damage is caused that cannot be cleaned a bill will be forwarded to you.
You will be charged £25–00 if the Barbecue is not left in the same clean condition on your departure.
We reserve the right to demand the immediate withdrawal of any persons behaving in a manner detrimental to the property or comfort of other guests. These circumstances will be treated as a cancellation by you.
All damage and breakages are the legal responsibility of the hirer and should be made known to the owners. If you lose a key we will replace it upon you paying for the cutting of a new one.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS
You must allow us the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out necessary repair or maintenance.
COMPLAINTS
We have made every effort to ensure that your holiday is enjoyable and trouble free. If you do have a complaint or problem during your stay, please inform us immediately in order for us to take the opportunity to rectify and correct the situation as soon as possible. Any complaints or problems during your stay that have not been reported will not be considered at a later date.
CANCELLATION AND INSURANCE
All monies paid are non-refundable unless we are able to re-let the property. In such a case, if just the deposit has been paid it will be refunded less an administration fee of £25. If the full balance has been paid, we will refund the amount that we are able to re-let the cottage for, less an administration fee of £25.
We have all necessary third party and public liability insurance on the property.
However, your personal and travel insurance is not included, and we strongly advise you take out Personal Travel and Cancellation Insurance.
MATTERS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property. We will not accept liability for loss or damage of your property.
We shall not be liable for changes, cancellations, or any other effect on your holiday due to administrative errors or events beyond our control (‘force majeure”).
LAW
Any disputes you may have with us are dealt with by the Courts of England and Wales.
